Singing "Missa Gaia"

Those taking part in morning workshop #1, Singing "Missa Gaia" should pre-purchase the score and familiarize themselves with the music. The score is available from halleonard.com. It is item #8744396, and the cost is $8.95.

To hear the "Missa Gaia" - find a copy of the CD by the Paul Winter Consort. The music is great!!!

Shake, Rattle and Drum Roll Please

Regarding the Shake, Rattle and Drum Roll Please class! An important piece of information was left off of the class description. It is necessary for all participants to bring a full-size pedestal-type drum; i.e. Djembe, Ashiko, Doumbek, Conga,or standing drum such as Djun-djuns; lessons are not suitable to hand or hoop drums. If you don’t own such an instrument, perhaps it will be necessary to beg or borrow one! They will not be available to SI. Please plan to bring one with you!

Dear SI Alums,

In an effort to save printing costs and trees, your Summer Institute Planning Committee has decided to post the 2008 Summer Institute brochure on omdsi.org and ohiomeadville.org. Send an e-mail to dmurray08@gmail.com, if you are willing to read the brochure on line. We will continue to mail brochures to past SI attendees we don't hear from and we'll continue to send a few brochures to each to congregation.
